The sadness, the fear, the uncertainty and the loneliness of the COVID restrictions being alone in a one bedroom flat for almost a year, lead me to start creating emboindery art. Cross stitching was allowing me to connect with a purpose and my emotions and stay self aware and mentally healthy.

Full description
This is a handmade embroidery. Venice canals were always fascinating to me, incorporating something enlightened and something mystical simultaneously. During COVID I had the time to create this piece using 11CT DMC threat in a cotton canvas. I was cross stitching for four months every day, all day. That is really soon for a piece in these dimensions and complexity. The emboinded part is 40x50cm and the canvas is 55x75cm. I believe a blue wider frame will enhance the creation. I sell only the embroidery without the frame.
