I wove this interesting fabric as an exploration of a weave structure new to me - Corris weave. I used all 16 shafts on my floor loom to create an interesting design. The fabric was a success and I decided to use it to make a really exciting handbag. The pattern I used is from Pink Pony Designs; the pattern is called the Beginner Bag. It is a great pattern that allows for adjustments to size and interior structure, so I have enjoyed making a variety of unique bags from this pattern.

Full description
Lovely handbag made with handwoven, multi-coloured fabric. I wove the dramatic fabric with three colours in the warp and another in the weft. They combine into a rainbow of colours with a powerful design. The bag has a multi-coloured zipper with a flower zip pull. The straps are navy blue commercial linen, and the bag is lined with hand-dyed cotton fabric. The bag has several pockets for phones and other essentials inside. It uses foam interfacing to give the bag a strudy but flexible structure.
