This finishing of this piece was streamed live on YouTube to an American and Canadian audience on 18th December 2024.
I love the warmth of the colours on this piece, and the fantastic look and feel of the contrast of the glossy outside and satin inside is fantastic.
Safety information
Made from natural maple Wood. Keep out of direct sunlight. Finished with a food-contsct safe oil finish on the outside. To clean, use a barely damp cloth and dry immediately afterwards. Do not place in a dishwasher or microwave.

Full description
This gorgeous maple bowl, measuring just shy of 8x3" was turned on a lathe on 18th December 2024.
The outside of the piece has been coloured using stunning dyes in reds, oranges and yellows producing a glowing warm colour. To finish, the outside has been given 4 coats of a pro-grade lacquer and polished for a glass-like look and feel.
The walls of this lovely bowl are approximately 8mm thick, leaving the inside expertly curved and finished with a food-contact safe oil.
The bottom of the piece features my makers mark and an attractive spiral pattern.
Finally, the bowl is suitable for fruit or a small salad and comes complete with 50ml of our finishing oil which you can use to recoat it every six to twelve months.
To look after it, handle with care, wash with a barely damp cloth and wipe dry. Avoid strong detergents and store out of direct sunlight.
