Wire work is my passion, and I love the Art Nouveau movement, so this was an experiment to see it I could make the shapes work while using a rather fabulous strand of Pink Opals!

Full description
This necklace and earring set is a treasure trove of stunning gemstones. The small faceted cubes consist of Pink Opal which is used in the Celtic knot links and in some of the floral motifs. The faceted rondels in the floral patterns are stunning Morganite, and I have used larger Pink Opal drops in the central lily design for drama and impact.
The piece took over 3 days to make as each Celtic knot and floral motif is hand-made using copper wire with the gemstones woven into each element using fine copper wire. The elements are hammered for strength and to give a slightly uneven look to the metal which gives off more shimmer. Once completed, I used liver of Sulfur to patinate the piece. I then polished it several times to give the metal a fabulous burnished look, and the effect also pushes the gemstones forward.
The piece is 18 inches in length and comes with a set of matching earrings. I have set the earrings on silver-plated shepherd's hooks. This is a unique, one-off piece that looks magnificent and makes
