I hope you'll find that special thing here in the shop as I make everything by hand, welcoming the differences that these techniques bring.

I'm a fan of the brooch, so I thought I'd make some. I'm also a fan of the crow so what to put on them wasn't exactly a difficult decision. They just seem to work so well, the solid crow shape, the black and white contrasting so nicely. Lovely.

Full description
A backwards facing crow, dark solid and lovely. The background a flash of stripes in contrasting black and white. The finish a glossy clear glaze. Distinctive jewellery to made a statement.
Made by shaping a disk of porcelain, preparing the surface, painting with lovely black slip, then when the conditions are right carving into the slip and there it is. Finished off with a lovely glossy transparent glaze which makes it darker and more mysterious
I make a few of these but no two have yet managed to be the same and all the better for that in my opinion. This one is 6cm wide and 4.5 cm high, with a safety clasp on the back.
