Hello and welcome or better still welcome back to my little shop.
I hope you'll find that special thing here in the shop as I make everything by hand, welcoming the differences that these techniques bring.
So if its slick, shiny, bright colours you are looking for, that's really not happening here but warm, funny, happy creature lead pieces - you are in the right place. Step in and take a look around.
Bev
It all began one year when I saw such a lot of acorns on the floor. Just hanging about in heaps, gangs, families. After that it was easy to give them personalities and then faces and the story.
So I made acorns, then I gave them faces and added leaves, threaded them up and there they were - Oakies, ready for action.
I know people have bought these for the tree at Christmas and they would look good as a surprise peeping out on a wreath but in my head they are all year round charms. Good for indoors or outdoors.

Handmade clay acorns, small enough to hold in your palm, big enough personalities to bring joy into your life. They might be seen as lucky charms, tiny drops of goodwill or amulets to protect against the vagaries of this world.
Who wouldn't like a tiny acorn with a crazy face rooting for them, urging them on, being by their side through a tricky day, week or whenever. That's what these tiny Oakies love to do, quietly, gently but with all their might, willing you to just get there.
About 4cm high and around 2cm wide, they vary in shape and size just as much as their facial expressions are unique to each Oakie.
Made in clay, coloured with underglaze and oxides, finally fired to stoneware to be more robust. All individually made, you might think you see a family resemblance and I'll go with that but no clones!
Only posting to UK at the moment and trying to be as ecologically friendly as possible here.
