my inspiration for this design looks at a historic pattern. The stylised strawberry motif originates in India and was adopted by the silk industry in Macclesfield Cheshire during the 1800's which at that time was one of Britain's largest producers of silk.
I have brought this timeless motif up to date drawing from history and my own experience working in the 1980's as a woven and print designer within the Macclesfield silk industry

stunning stylised strawberry printed cushion with a green pom pom trim.
This cushion is made from a high quality printed cotton hop sack cloth and is edged on four sides with a green pompom trim. It measures 46 cm square, has a zipped opening and a feather interior.
