Full description
This adorable bear figure is painted in bumblebee colours, with a pair of antennae and spectacular wings to match! It would add a touch of whimsy to any room, and brighten its surroundings with its curious expression and soft-looking paws.
This one-of-a-kind sculpture was handcrafted in my tiny Primrose Hill studio. It is made from paper mache smoothed with silk clay, then painted with high-quality acrylics, and finally coated with a protective satin varnish. The antennae are made from bits of metal wire and matching beads. The wings have an almost iridescent, watercolour-like look that results from acrylic inks layered on a sand medium.
The sculpture measures approximately 13 cm in height, and 15 cm in width.
