Working with wood as a hobby, I realised how with careful sanding and shaping even small, leftover pieces of wood revealed natural grain patterns and colours. Adding the chemistry of resin allowed me to create some uniquely different pieces of jewellery.

Full description
This pendant is 2.5 inches long (approx 6cms) and is handmade from reclaimed elder wood combined with hand-poured, clear resin.
Elder is a hardwood and when sanded and polished, comes up beautifully pale-coloured and straight-grained. (It was often used in the making of musical pipes and whistles.) I then added dried flower seeds collected from my garden to the resin and used recycled copper to line the pendant bail.
The pendant is sold with a faux suede, coffee-coloured, knotted cord with a drop of approx.15 inches. (38cms). This photo shows it hung on cotton cord so to see how the suede cord appears please look at my other items.
