The poignant story of 4 brothers going to war and only one returning wrenches at the heart. The Bradford boys from Witton Park Co. Durham were four brothers and two won the VC. These sculptures by Rau Lonsdale are scattered all over the North of England, they just make me want to share their beauty and the story behind them.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.

Full description
A dejected, uniformed soldier returns home from war. Head bowed beneath his tin hat, he appears burdened with the weight of the rifle on his back and the horror of his battlefield experiences. A second figure in civilian dress, a miner, and a friend, wears the familiar broad flat cap. He reaches out to the soldier, placing a reassuring hand upon his shoulder.
This Corten Steel Sculpture by Ray Lonsdale brings about all sorts of emotions.
My Digital compilation tries to enhance the story.
