I am on a mission to make brooches cool again!
Goldwork is a traditional style of embroidery which uses very fine metal wires, that are stitched to the surface of fabric backings. I mostly use goldwork to create hoop art, but decided to experiment with using them for jewellery as well.
This brooch was created completely by hand each tiny wire chip is cut and stitched individually on to a felt backing. The entire brooch is then cut out by hand, and attached to a suede backing, with a brooch fitting, so it does not catch on clothing.
Will arrive wrapped in tissue.
