Full description

Egyptian Queen Embroidery Hoop, Nefertiti Embroidery, Gift for Egyptologist, Egyptian Wall art, Goldwork Embroidery Hoop, Metalthread Art

Nefertiti is perhaps one of the most widely recognised Egyptian figures her famous bust is thought to have been created in approximately 1345BCE. It currently resides in the Neues Museum in Berlin.

Nefertiti was the Great Royal Wife of the heretic Pharoah Akhenaten making her the stepmother of Tutankhamen.

My homage to Nefertiti is completely hand stitched with a combination of traditional embroidery using silk thread, and goldwork embroidery using a variety of goldwork metals, and leather. All on a pale green silk backing, and framed in a six inch hoop.
