CHRISTMAS 2024: Please order in plenty of time for the festive period. Royal Mail advises the last dates for posting will be 21st December for the U.K. (Royal Mail Tracked 24) and the end of November for International. I will continue posting after these dates, but there will be less chance of the artwork arriving by Christmas if ordered after these dates.
If you are buying artwork as a gift, I can gift wrap the painting and send it on to the recipient. Just send me the details at checkout.
Prior to posting, framed paintings will be covered with glassine paper before being carefully encased in a protective wrap. Wherever possible, I reuse internal wrapping materials I have collected. The painting will then be secured in a heavy duty mailing box. For unframed artworks, the paintings will be mailed in a reinforced, hard backed envelope.
(7) This original artwork is called, 'The Ferry Will Not Sail Today'. Due to poor weather conditions, the ferry will stay tied up. Sad news for those wishing to get home. This original painting will make an ideal gift for any occasion.

Full description
This is a framed painting based on trips to the west coast of Scotland. I have used a combination of painting knives, sponges and brushes to apply thick layers of paint to depict the energy of the sea in this coastal landscape. I have let the layers of paint build up to help give a sense of the ruggedness and rockiness of the coast.
Enjoy the drama of the coast everyday with this original interpretation of a choppy sea. Soak up the vastness and power of the water from the comfort and shelter of your own home.
