Winsor and Newton watercolour on St Cuthbert Mills watercolour paper.
This is a line and wash urban sketch of the Colosseum in Ancient Rome, Italy. I love the composition of this painting as the Colosseum isn’t even all in the picture! I love the tree in the foreground and the little buildings peeping behind it.
I thought the painting just works perfectly.
