Full description
One of a kind textile art featuring the beautiful , brightly coloured rainbow lorikeet - sitting on a branch waiting for the rain to stop - I was lucky enough to see flocks of these charming and very noisy birds on a recent visit to Australia.
I have stitched this piece entirely by hand using a mixture of fabric scraps, sari remnants ,ribbon, cotton and metallic threads . I have also stamped a leaf design on the linen background.
This artwork is mounted onto board and has a 8 x 10 ivory mount - ready to be framed to your choosing - please be aware this artwork comes to you unframed.
In my last photograph I have shown what it would look like in a deep shadow box frame.
