I enjoy cutting china cups and saucers in half and giving the impression they are emerging from the mosaicked surface. The vintage china I used here, needed a contrasting background to make it stand out—in more ways than one!

A vintage cup and saucer emerge from a mosaicked surface of traditional mosaic tiles and glass rods.
The base is a kitchen cutting board. A leather thong hanger is attached.
The mirror is 10cm.
18x30cm.
