Full description
This large whale sculpture is made from paper mache and painted using high-quality acrylics in an ethereal combination of blue, white, aquatic green and muted grey hues. Its natural coarse surface creates a very organic appearance of rugged, sea-worn skin.
This sculpture is guaranteed to be an eye-catching element in any room it is placed in, but it especially complements areas with greenery and bright natural light, which its deep blue colours transform into a calming and meditative space.
Do note that being made from paper mache, this sculpture should not be placed in humid or damp environments. For long-term maintenance, carefully dusting it off with a soft brush as needed is recommended, and the stand can be wiped with a cloth.
The sculpture is mounted on a wooden stand which has been sanded, stained, and sealed with protective Danish wood oil. Including the stand, the sculpture is approximately 48 cm tall.
