Welcome to my shop. I hope you enjoy having a browse.
My next event will be the
Artists and Makers Fair in Caversham, Reading on the 14th Dec, the link is below.
MY SHOP WILL CLOSE ON THIS DAY
I love working with textiles, making small and large items. I have recently added some new lines, practical aprons and floral brooches.
If you live in the Reading area you can come and see me at the Artists and Makers Fairs in Caversham
https://www.artistsandmakersfairs.co.uk
I am always happy to consider commissions and can personalise items. Just drop me an email pamccrafts@gmail.com.
You can follow me on FB and Instagram as well @pamccrafts.
All the items are hand sewn by me. I am increasingly thinking about sustainability with my work and am including more repurposed projects, and trying to use organic and natural fibres and fabrics.
I donate 10% of my sales to Launchpad, a charity working to prevent homelessness in Reading
IF YOU ARE ABLE TO COLLECT FROM ME IN RG4 I WILL REFUND POSTAGE
It's been such fun making these little chaps from little scraps of fabric.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
I have used scraps of sari silk and cotton fabrics stitched onto hessian to make these little Robins.
Each one is unique as I have experimented with different combinations of hand and machine stitching and different fabrics. The red breast and wings are made separately and sewn onto the main body. They are backed with a coordinating cotton fabric and have a jute tine loop to hang them. Their little twinkly eyes are small recycled glass beads from Ghana.
These little chaps measure approx 8cm x 4cm (some are slightly larger...must have been eating too much bird seed!)
They are mounted on card and protected in a cellophane envelope. An explanation of how they are made is included.
The sari silks are produced by women in North India so your purchasexwill support them, and also 10% of this sale will go to Launchpad, a charity working to prevent homelessness in Reading
