Full description

This textile art picture of sheep grazing in a field has been created using strips of silk fabric, woollen fibres and handmade felt.

Strips of silk have been needle felted to a piece of backing felt and the strips blended together using woollen fibres to create the background and the sheep and trees needle felted on top. Birds have been added using black thread.

This picture is needle felted, the silk and wool binding together without the need for stitching.

The picture is mounded in a white card mount and framed in a 32cm x 32cm silver coloured frame. The actual picture size is 19cm x 19cm. The frame is glazed with acrylic rather than glass to prevent breakages.

Please note: photographs have been taken with the acrylic glaze removed to reduce reflections.
