I live in the Yorkshire dales where winter hats are fairly essential! I struggle to find a hat as I don’t want them too tight, too scratchy, too heavy, or too tightly woven - so I make my own on my hand knitting loom. My hats are loose but cosy, soft and double layered so you get warm the without tightness, and adaptable - you can wear them long and slouchy or folded and hugging.
I love colour so if you have a particular colour request let me know and I’ll make one up for you.

This reversible hat is double layered to give it extra warmth whilst maintaining a soft, stretchy fabric feel.
It’s designed by me, a crochet and knitting teacher based in North Yorkshire and I love the adaptability of this beanie. You can fold the base up how ever long you like to give you either a tight fit or a super slouchy fit.
It’s made with Stylecraft Special Heathers range quality acrylic yarn making it machine washable at 30 degrees and its dual colour gives it a lovely natural textured finish.
One side is deep purples and the other is burgundies with purple mix. The colours are rich and earthy and reminiscent of the Heathers after which they are named.
Full length hat measures 30cm long ( before rim fold) and 22cm wide with a stretch of up to 29cm. (measurements are approximate). Please be sure to check your measurements before purchase.
