Full description

A fused glass sunflower suncatcher/mobile/wall hanging, handmade in my garden studio. The inner ring of petals are cut from bright yellow transparent art glass, and the outer petals are amber. Each has been individually hand cut and then ground to a smooth finish. The central disc was sprinkled with finely crushed glass to represent seeds. The whole piece was then fused together at 745°C, a temperature which fuses the separate pieces together, but retains texture in the layers of petals.

Each sunflower is unique, just as real flowers are always unique - the petals are arranged differently each time I make one and as each petal is individually hand-cut, the petal shape will also vary. The item you receive will therefore vary slightly from that photographed.

These sunflowers measure approximately 9cm across and make a lovely keepsake gift. They can be hung on a wall or displayed against a window. Supplied with ribbon (style may vary) ready for hanging.
