Full description
This bespoke quilt is made from a mixed collection of 'bee' fabrics put together to form a garden of flowers. Beautiful daisies surround a large Sunflower bloom. They flower together against a background of sky blue. A celebration of Summer in yellow and blue with white highlights. I have backed it with bee fabric - a celebration range from the WI Women's Institute.
The top and backing are made from 100% cotton. The batting is made from 80% cotton 20% polyester. The rich use of cotton fibres makes this quilt warm, light weight, non-allergenic and machine washable. It has been machine pieced and traditionally quilted for durability with the intention of it being used and loved for many years to come. The dimensions of this quilt makes it a great size to use as a double bed topper, lap quilt, sofa throw or to drape around your shoulders when you just need a hug. It can be washed on a cool setting in a domestic washing machine using a gentle cycle. It is best dried flat but can be machine dried on a cool setting.
It was created with love in our smoke and pet free home.
There is a YouTube video that shows how this quilt was made: Patchwork Quilts with Diane - The Bee Quilt
