A very warm welcome to my collection of original artwork.
If you are buying artwork as a gift, I can gift wrap the painting and send it on to the recipient. Just send me the details at checkout. Prior to posting, framed paintings will be covered with glassine paper before being carefully encased in a protective wrap. Wherever possible, I reuse internal wrapping materials I have collected. The painting will then be secured in a heavy duty mailing box. For unframed artworks, the paintings will be mailed in a reinforced, hard backed envelope.
(36) This original painting is simply called, 'Ben Wyvis.' I am a frequent visitor to this wonderful area. It's a magical place to walk and clear your head. This would make an ideal gift for any occasion.

Full description
This is a small original artwork of a Scottish mountain. The mountain is Ben Wyvis which rests in the north of Scotland in the Highland region. The sky is a light blue with wisps of clouds brushing over the summit. There is a path that will take visitors to the start of the climb and the wee river offers a place to rest and cool off. I have used professional-quality acrylics on sealed paper. I've used flat brushes to paint the sky and knives to outline the Ben. By using painting knives, I've been able to layer the paint and scratch in to the layers.
This helps to depict the ruggedness of the landscape.
