Cashmere wool is a fibre obtained from Kashmir and Pashmina goats. It is extremely fine and is said to be 8 times warmer than wool. Cashmere is known for its lightweight feel and insulation property. Cashmere is one of the most expensive yarns in the world. I am a recycler of as many items as I can and I did not want this beautiful fabric ending in landfill. I began making cashmere accessories to send the cashmere fabric onto another life. It is so soft and luxurious that it is a pleasure working with it.

This pretty pink sloppy beanie is so soft and cosy! The accessories I make are made from 100% cashmere garments that I have repurposed. These garments are used cashmere cardigans and jumpers which I wash, slightly felt and de-bobble to make the fabric beautiful again. The beanie fits the average size head and has stretch in it. It is a single layer of cashmere and is very warm as cashmere is about 8 times warmer than wool. This beanie would also make a wonderful gift for someone!
