Dark Blue Crackle Glaze Steampunk Storage Box
You can keep anything you like in this wooden box, jewellery, trinkets, arts n craft supplies, it is large enough to hold quite a few items, it will also make a lovely memory box.
I have hand painted and crackle glazed the body of the box in dark blue with an undercoat of dark red, which shows through in small patches.
The lid is decoupaged with a beautiful Steampunk image and I have added metal keys and cogs to enhance the box.
The light bulb head in the image has been highlighted with a special application which dries shiny and cracked so it looks like cracked glass. Unfortunately I can't get any photo to show this correctly but I tired!
I finished the edges of this box with a subtle copper wax
The box has a nice metal closure.
This beautiful box has a deliberately aged, grungy appearance with crackle glaze so please don't expect perfect smooth surfaces.
