Coming from a farming family up in the Highlands of Scotland I spent many a day with our Ghillie up on the hill and saw many beautiful stags with their glorious horns and standing proud over his does. When I started wool felting my teacher took me through the whole process from the beginning to finished scenes. Although my Monarch of the Glen may have been a work in process for 5 years, I am delighted with how he has turned out. A truly beautiful keepsake gift to give.

Full description
Living in Scotland and having seen many stag on the hill as a child and having always admired Edwin Landseer's Monarch of the Glen masterpiece, I thought I would create my own version. Using Galloway sheep wool selecting some of the many glorious colours of dyed wool I have and with The Highlands in mind, I started to create the base to work from. Felting in the background of bracken covered hills and clumps of heather, a moody sky added to a more dramatic scene. Comes with a wood frame with Perspex glass which has been strung at the back for ease of hanging.
