My Folksy shop has been dozing through the Summer Craft Fair season, but now I'm back in the Workshop, making lovely new things and taking photos.
I'll be adding new items here as quickly as I can. However, anything you have seen on my stall or on another website should be available to buy through Folksy - just message me and I'll re-stock the item here.
Renewable and sustainable - British wool is the ultimate in eco-friendly slow fashion material.
I love using the wool from the many and varied breeds of sheep found here in the UK, and I am a supporter of the Campaign for Wool. The Exmoor Horn sheep of today are direct descendants of the horned sheep that roamed Exmoor for centuries. They produce a fine wool, of medium softness.

Red and yellow gloves - I have hand-knit these lovely fingerless gloves using pure British wool, from Exmoor Horn breed of sheep. The design is a simple Fairisle changeover pattern from yellow at the cuff to red at the fingers. They have a long cuff to slip under your coat to keep the draughts out, and a fully shaped thumb. The gloves end in a band of rib, leaving your fingertips clear to use your phone or doorkey easily.
The sweet little "Roses Workshop" brand label is laser-etched faux leather. As usual I have knitted these gloves on needles, not a machine, knitting "in the round" so there are no ugly uncomfortable seams. They measure 19cm long including the cuff, 14cm for the hand section, and the knit is stretchy enough to fit most average adult hands. Gentle hand wash recommended.
These beautiful gloves will be wrapped in tissue and tied up with a ribbon, ready for giving or as a treat for yourself. To get your lovely purchase to you quickly and safely I use Royal Mail tracked services. Postage shown is for the whole parcel - save on postage when two or more items bought from my shop at the same time.
