Got lots of old tennis rackets and a lump of pitch pine hanging about? Why not shape, sand and oil the pine, drill some holes in it and skilfully attach the tops of two rackets at each end as the legs, not forgetting a supporting length of reclaimed mahogany beneath. Then cut the rackets to size, strip them of their tatty leather grips, spray paint a handle onto them, and carve each end into a peg so that it fits snugly into the pine, and you've got yourself a tennis-themed welly tree. Better still, buy this one! You know it, you've just found the perfect gift for that someone who used to leap about the court but now sploshes about in wellies.
