I love wildlife, and all the creatures that make up our wonderful world. Although aware year round, autumn time always reminds me how precious our natural friends are and how precarious so many ecosystems are within nature - I think its something to do with the visuality of watching leaves falling?
In celebration of our wonderful wildlife, I like to paint the many creatures that are around us, capturing their little (or big!) personalities.

"Winnie" by Victoria Fletcher. Acrylic on Wood Slice
Hedgehogs are an icon of British wildlife and for many years were regular visitors of gardens. Sadly their numbers have decreased, making spotting one of these beautiful creatures much rarer. Wonderful "Winnie" reminds us to look after our wildlife.
I created this piece in acrylic inks on a 5cm diameter wood slice before applying a gloss varnish and framing within a simple, black box frame, bring the overall size to 12 x 12cm.
The artwork can be free standing or, at the back, there is a small fixing to hang the painting.
This would make an ideal present for someone who loves hedgehogs and wildlife, or a treat for yourself.
The artwork will be presented in a brown box on arrival, with recycled cardboard strips to cushion its transport. This allows for a secure transport and the easy wrapping if it is to be a gift.
It is advised that the painting is not kept in a room that is subject to high humidity such as a laundry room or bathroom.
