CHRISTMAS 2024: Please order in plenty of time for the festive period. Royal Mail advises the last dates for posting will be 21st December for the U.K. (Royal Mail Tracked 24) and the end of November for International. I will continue posting after these dates, but there will be less chance of the artwork arriving by Christmas if ordered after these dates.
If you are buying artwork as a gift, I can gift wrap the painting and send it on to the recipient. Just send me the details at checkout.
Prior to posting, framed paintings will be covered with glassine paper before being carefully encased in a protective wrap. Wherever possible, I reuse internal wrapping materials I have collected. The painting will then be secured in a heavy duty mailing box. For unframed artworks, the paintings will be mailed in a reinforced, hard backed envelope.
(55) This original artwork is called, 'Sentinel Tree’ to reflect how our beautiful landscapes inspires and motivate us to walk and explore. The tree in the foreground is standing guard and help to direct our gaze into the distance. This would make an ideal gift for any occasion.

Full description
This original painting of trees is mounted and ready for a frame of your choosing. For this Scottish landscape I have applied thick layers of acrylic paint on to a stretched canvas. I’ve used brushes, a knife and various mark making tools. The hills have been painted in cool colours to give a sense of wilderness and distance. I've used a palette knife for this part of the work, ensuring that the layers join and overlap seamlessly. The middle section has been painted using a variety of brushes to depict grasslands leading down to small lochans. The tree stands proud in the foreground drawing the eye into the rest of the painting.
