Many years ago our family visited the Isle of Wight where the red squirrels scampered aout just outside our lodge. One of our favourite memories from our holidays on that wonderful island.

A baby red squirrel in a nest. Needle felt wool red squirrel hibernating in a drey with fabric leaves.
The baby red squirrel has been made by needle felting wool fibres with a sharp needle. It lays amongst commercial fabric leaves. The base is at grapevine wreath.
The squirrel. and leaves are glued to the wreath. It is a hemp loop for hanging or can be laid flat to display.
Measures17 cm across including the leaves.
