I have had this pretty clasp in my supplies stock for ages!
It dates from around 1950 I believe and was taken from an unloved string of good pearls, which I have long since used in my designs.
This gorgeous sterling silver pearl clasp in the form of a stylised bow.
It gently pinches in the centre with a three lobe design either side of the centre to simulate fabric.
The clasp is stamped on the reverse with 925 for sterling silver and the makers mark. The hook inside is also stamped 925 and with the makers mark.
The clasp is in good working order and is lovely quality.
Designed to take a single strand of pearls, although it could accommodate more if desired.
Again, it could do with a clean, but I know many people prefer vintage items with their original patina. Any greenish resdue on the clasp will come off - it is from the brass fitments that have long been removed.
The clasp measures 19mm x 6mm approx.
