Full description
PDF knitting pattern for mittens worked in DK yarn.
A stash yarn project to use up all those odd little remnants, this is one of a series of 12 patterns, one for each star sign, for mittens featuring each sign's astrological symbol and worked in the colours most associated with that sign.
For Gemini, I have used yellows and greens but the colours you choose are open to individual interpretation. The mittens feature a twin striped border, a beaded edging & the Gemini symbol (worked in duplicate stitch) added to the finished mittens.
The pattern is offered in three sizes, to suit pre-teen to adults. Each pair of mittens uses, according to size, 35 - 40g Main colour, 25g border colour plus 5g oddments of other colours of choice. They are worked flat, on single point needles & seamed together. The pattern includes row by row instructions with explanatory photos and charts for each size for placing the motif. I have made my mittens using a superwash wool yarn but other DK yarns could be used if preferred.
PLEASE NOTE - this is a PDF downloadable knitting pattern giving instructions to make a pair of mittens, NOT a finished product.
