I was inspired to design this kit after watching bats flying around my garden, feasting on flies, one summer evening.

Full description
This Halloween felt bat craft kit contains you all the materials you will need to make a spooky felt bat. The finished bat is 160mm High (240mm if you include string) x 240mm wide from wing tip to wing tip.
You can either make a bat that hangs from it head with outstretched wings or an upside-down bat with its wings wrapped around it’s body.
The Kit includes the following:
- 11 Pages of instructions in full colour that take you step by step through the construction.
- 2 pieces of 1mm thick, black wool felt, 200mm x 200mm(8ins x 8ins).
- 1 Piece of 1mm thick white wool felt, 80mm x 80mm (3ins x 3ins).
- Polyester toy filling.
- Embroidery threads in black and white.
- A length of black string.
- 2 white buttons.
- 1 black snap fastener.
- An embroidery needle and dressmaking pins.
- White chalk pencil.
Note: This kit contains sharp items so if helping a child to make a bat you need to be careful.
You will need to provide the following.
- 1 pair of fabric scissors
- 1 pair of paper scissors
- A blunt tool to help pack the filling into the bear’s body. (My favourite tool is an unsharpened pencil with an eraser on the end.)
- A cup of tea and a piece of cake
Skill Level: advanced beginner / intermediate sewer.
