I love sunflowers and wanted to capture them at different stages which inspired me to produce this mini series!

Full description

This drawing, entitled “Sunflower Bud” was completed in 2024 and is an original botanical hand-drawn illustration of these beautiful flowers that pop up in the summer. It is the first drawing in a three-part series of a sunflower opening up. Please see my folksy store for the other two instalments.

The material used to create this piece is as follows: 2B pencil, micron 0.05 fine liner black ink on Winsor & Newton mixed media A5 paper (250g/m2).

This piece comes unmounted and unframed and is advised that this item is hung or stored away from direct sunlight to help preserve the ink used.

This item will be sent to you in sealed, protective packaging and delivered in a non-bendable envelope via the Royal Mail using 2nd class delivery.
