Meet Esther the handmade textile art boudior doll
Esther is approximately 55cm tall and is made from recycled calico, which I have hand dye with tea, with a wire armature inside.
Her hair is made from mohair.
Her face, fingernails and shoes are hand painted with acrylic paint
Esther’s dress is made from a piece of vintage wax fabric.
Her beaded cardigan is made from recycled wool left over from my Bea’s Beastlies days ( anyone remember them ?)
I have used my mothers tiny glass black beads to decorate it which she bought from Elsen and Farrell in the 1960’s and lined with Habotai silk also from my mums stash.
Her miniature Enid Collins style Roadrunner bag is made to scale from calico offcuts.
I hand painted with acrylic paint and embellished with tiny jewels
It has a wooden base and the handles and trim are made from leather just like the real ones.
Esther is a one off piece , a collectible piece of art.
She can be moved into poses but only gentle play by an adult is advised, she is a piece of art not a toy.
I send Royal Mail special next day delivery and that is included in the price……
