Full description
This adorable nuthatch has been made by needle felting woollen fibres, bonded together and shaped using a barbed felting needle. After sculpting a core of white woollen fibres into shape, a top coat of merino wool in appropriate colours has been added. The nuthatch has wired feet, beaded eyes and a silk clay beak. The nuthatch has been mounted on a rustic wooden offcut by means of a clear perspex rod, in a typical downward pose.
The nuthatch measures approximately 14cm in length from beak to tail. The complete ornament including the base measures approximately 15cm tall
