Full description

One of a kind! This is quite a showstopper and an excellent investment to create a unique feature to your home or garden. I supply a simple stand for indoors and two steel rods to insert into the base so you can 'plant' it in your garden. Or switch between the two if you wish! It will look stunning in a hallway or conservatory where you will benefit from the glorious coloured reflections. There is also an option for you to use an uplighter lamp to create an ambient evening light.

Stained glass will never fade and the abstract design will continue to delight and complement home decoration for many years. Using the Tiffany method, each piece of glass is handcut and grinded to fit. Then it is wrapped in copper foil and the pieces are hand soldered together. After a wash, a black patina is applied to the solder and a final wash, wax and polish is completed. It is then ready to insert into the wood.

Robinia wood used is a British hardwood that has been ethically sourced through my supplier who only deals in naturally felled trees in our local area. He stores them to dry for over a year before kiln dying. Robina wood is a perfect wood for outdoor projects. The wood has been treated with a preserver and 3 coats of an oil and wax satin finish which shows off the beauty of the grain.

This is a tall measuring at 128cm and at its widest it is 23cm. The thickness of the wood is 4cm.

Collection from Newcastle can be arranged if you are local and I will refund the postage.
