NEW: Hand stitched Sami Reindeer and Fish leather bags and pouches.
This type of reindeer leather bag was used by the Sami to carry their coffee. Coffee was an important commodity to the Sami, so they kept it close to them and carried it in a special bag tied to their waist. As the Sami are a nomadic people, when they set up camp in an area, the wood fire was lit, and the coffee pot was set to brew, ready to be shared with everyone once the tents and camp were set up.
In many of the hand stitched bags I also use tanned Fish leather from Fish skins collected from local fish supply shops (Fish scraps that would otherwise go to waste)

Full description
This is a Sami style reindeer and Fish leather coffee bag (or bushcraft pouch) One side of the leather pouch is Black Reindeer Leather embellished with Pewter thread in a Moon design. The other side of the bag is tanned Tilapia Fish Leather The pouch is hand stitched and trimmed with red vadmal wool.
. The reindeer leather sack has a leather draw string closure at the top of the bag.
The leather coffee pouch measures:
Height 18 cm (7 inches)
Width 10 cm (4 inches)
Depth 4 cm (1.5 inches)
Reindeer Leather Colour: Black
Wool Vadmal colour: Red
The reindeer coffee pouch will hold approx 100 grams of coffee beans, or whatever other treasures you might wish to store.

The reindeer leather in stock is Black and Alder Brown.
The tanned fish leather varies with each bag as I hand tan the fish skins with whatever fish I have in stock.
