This piece is of no particular place but a small snapshot from my memories of mountaineering in Scotland.

Full description

The focus for this panel is obviously the small bothy, with it's red roof and whitewashed walls allowing it to nestle in it's surrounding mountains. The landscape is made with a lovely selection of greens and purples for the mountains and meadow, both textured and smooth. The water/loch in the foreground is a streaky blue/green which gives the impression of movement.

This sky in this panel is lovely, it is cut from a clear and turquoise streaky glass. A really cheery colour.

I love the Scottish mountains and have spent many nights cosied up in a bothy after a day on the hills... even at Christmas....

This landscape panel is made with cut glass, Copperfoild, soldered then given a lead edge to make it a substantial panel.

Hooks have been soldered on the top for ease of hanging in your window.
