Whilst staying in Uganda for 2 months last year I was drawn to the vibrant markets and managed to purchase some unusual beads. Some are made from peppercorns and some are made from a basic material found in the swamps. Buying from the markets certainly helped the local people selling there who have very little money to buy the essentials in life.
