The oyster shells in this piece were collected during one of my regular swims with a lovely cold water swimming group. The local area once had a thriving Oyster fishery, long since lost to the mists of time. But the Oyster beds remain, and the shells have a lovely textural design and pearlescent patterns which are super to work with.

Oyster shells from Port Eynon Bay, Gower are arranged to create a stunning circular design. I collected the shells myself whilst cold water swimming, and the shells are completely as found on the beach.
