As a little girl, in summer, every night a hedgehog family would travel through our back garden about the same time everyday. We would vacate the garden and run up to my parent’s window and wait for them to arrive. At the time of making the notebook, I read about the fact that hedgehogs need to roam but they are finding it difficult to move between garden. This is when I came across the British Hedgehog Preservation Society and their campaign for every garden to have a 13 x 13 cm hole in the fence so that the hedgehogs could roam. That magic of childhood combined with the creation of the hedgehog highway to create this notebook.

That is why this notebook on FSC certified paper celebrates our nocturnal garden friend. By purchasing this product, we will give 10% of our profits to the British Hedgehog Preservation Society.
The British Hedgehog Preservation Society (BHPS) is a registered UK Charity, founded in 1982, dedicated to helping & protecting hedgehogs native to the UK (Erinaceus europaeus). Through their campaigns, advocacy and educational projects they work to raise awareness of the practical steps we can take to help reverse the decline of hedgehogs in the wild, improve their welfare and safeguard the future of this much-loved animal. They also fund research that provides important new insights into the conservation and welfare of hedgehogs.
