The Little Escapes series is hand painted on watercolour paper from photos that I take on beach walks in Brighton. I paint calm landscapes and sometimes wild winds and waves. These small abstract landscapes hold a moment of the wonderful, changing energy of being by the sea.
I create the little affirmations for myself and others who need a little boost or a compassionate thought. My tiny art affirmations are little reminders to take a moment to pause and ponder.
I started creating these tiny landscapes as part of a project and now make them for others to have a little ocean vibe too. I have learned that taking time to notice small, wonderful things, can really help me and I hope that other people enjoy them too.

This tiny abstract landscape painting is hand-painted on watercolour paper and mounted to 4" x 4", ready to frame.
The art is inspired by the more rugged parts of the beach landscape near where I live. The eroding groynes and the West Pier remains on the shoreline are ever changing. It's a daily battle between the man made structures and the power of the sea and the wild weather.
The colours are ultramarine blues and magenta. Details are hand drawn with a glass dip pen and drawing ink, including the gulls.
This 2" x 2" tiny art is presented in a snow white mount measuring 4" x 4".
These tiny art pieces are original and painted on my art table in Brighton. This piece is part of the Little Escapes collection of small landscapes, so you can bring that wild feeling of being at the beach to your space.
This Little Escape art is signed on the reverse, presented in a 4" mount, labelled and packaged in a biodegradable cello bag for protection.
These small landscapes are mounted to 4"x4", sent unframed, wrapped with care and packaged in hard backed envelopes. They are suitable as a letterbox gift. UK postage is included.
