Butterfly made from stained glass by Carole’s Glass.
Butterflies are fascinating how they flutter in the sky, dependent on where the wind blows as to where they can land.
This butterfly is larger than I normally make. It has been made from a selection of vibrantly coloured stained glass so it will certainly add a splash of colour to any window, even one facing north.
Each piece of glass has been cut by hand, ground, washed, foiled, soldered together, washed again and polished. Wire has been twisted for the antenna, I have also attached two hanging rings and a length of fishing line.
The butterfly measures 18.5 cms across by 13 cms excluding antenna.
I have used dark red sea glass, lime green florentine glass , orange textured glass, teal sea glass, muffle glass and yellow sea glass. A lovely selection of colours and textures.
This would be lovely hanging in any window and does not have to be hung in direct sunlight to look pretty.
I will supply one sky hook with each suncatcher for hanging in the window. Please remember to wet the plunger before pushing firmly onto the window.
I normally post the following working day and thus will be sent using Royal Mail Tracked 24.
