A box full of fimo, and no ideas, led to some research, some experimentation, and the idea of making a fimo animal but creating a mini scene around it, and mounting that on a mini canvas. Paint blending created the sand and water effects.

Full description
Take a trip on the ocean waves with this mixed media canvas. Measuring just 7cm by 7cm, this pint-sized artwork would make a great letterbox gift. I've used polymer clay to sculpt a seascape and the 3D turtle that rests upon it. These polymer clay pieces are all individually made, so no two are exactly the same. This mini art gift is finished with a painted background. The end result is very cute, and all ready to be posted to a new home.
