ddmmyyyy was founded a decade ago in a tiny bedroom in Hong Kong. With a mere 2 square meters of space, Yvonne embarked on the journey in the world of leathercraft. Despite the limitations, this tiny working space became the breeding ground for our design philosophy, focusing on simplicity, artistry, and impeccable craftsmanship.
We made a significant move to the enchanting city of Edinburgh in 2022. This move marked a new chapter for our brand, as we finally had the opportunity to establish our own studio. With this upgrade in space and equipment, we were able to unleash our creativity and push the boundaries of our craft.
Despite the geographical shift, our commitment to simplicity and artistry remains at the core of our brand. Our designs continue to embody the essence of minimalism, while showcasing the meticulous attention to detail that defines our craftsmanship.

Full description
This soft leather starts off light brown, then is hand-dyed brown, washed, polished, randomly dyed brown, washed and finished. The result is a piece of unique and raw soft leather. The bag is hand stitched. The interior is non-lined, keeping a natural touch of suede leather. The birthday of your bag is stamped in ddmmyyyy format, that marks the beginning of your leather journey.
Material:
The bag is made of vegetable tanned leather imported from Italy. This kind of leather is “alive”. It will turn softer and the colour will be richer after a few weeks/months of use, creating a “vintage” look. The look and feel will totally depend on how you use it. It will be unique in this world. As our ddmmyyyy theory – no two stories are ever alike.
