This picture was one of a short series of dark-background still life subjects; painted small-scale to aim completion within a couple of hours. I liked the blue rim on the jug, so added a complementary colour to the set-up, in the form of a small orange.

Original oil painting on canvas-board, measuring 15cm x 15cm (6x6 inches). Unframed.
A traditional-style dark background for this large white jug, accompanied by an orange. Painted with artist-quality oils and lightly varnished.
The work will be protected with paper and card prior to final wrapping and dispatch.
