Full description

An ammonite fossil created in stained glass set in a solid sycamore wood frame. A real eye catching design where the various different pieces of glass used provide the richness found in an ammonite fossil. A perfect gift with that extra specialness due to the unique nature of this design. Placed on a sunny window sill, it will continue to delight you with the casting of colours create an extra dimension to this piece of stained glass art.

Made using the traditional tiffany copper foil technique the glass goes through numerous processes before it is waxed and polished and fit into its wooden frame. I love this piece of sycamore wood as it has some good colouring where the bark once was. It matches perfectly with this ammonite.

The whole piece measures 32cm x 32cm with a good 4cm thickness of wood.
