This large, painted stone depicts the sacred and ancient image of the Goddess. This iconic symbol is seen all over Glastonbury, where I live and work. She is the Divine Feminine, representing the qualities of creativity, fertility, imagination, intuition and loving, protective warmth. The unfolding spiral at her centre represents eternal life, fertility and the manifestation of projects. To her left is a waxing moon, representing that which is becoming. Her joined arms create a circle overhead, representing the full moon or full potential, light and clarity. The waning moon on the right represents that which is diminishing. These 3 stages of the moon also represent the journey from youth to adult to elder, or from maiden to mother to crone.
